On Sunday, October 30th, our kids visited Myrtle Beach Estates and the residents kindly gave out treats.  Our Caitlin-as-Geisha-girl sang for them, and a great time was had by all!

We had another successful YOUth excursion.  The numbers were fewer but the fun was great.  The weather cooperated and we had a beautiful day free from rain and storms – God is good.  Of course, the sunscreen was a necessity but not enough for some but all survived and had an exciting time.

 The mad dash was to the Aruba Tooba since that’s one that gets a very long line quickly.  After that it was off to Snake Mountain, the Lazy River, and many others.  The Wave Pool was probably the most popular – at least visited the most number of times by everyone.  It was a great place to cool off and relax.

 We did a picnic lunch in their outside area of tables and umbrellas.  Then it was back inside for another round of slides and Wave Pool.  It was time to leave even though many were ready for additional hours (except for the adults, of course).

 A special thanks goes to Pete Cunningham and Pastor Gary for helping to chaperone.  All had a great time.

 Everyone in the Youth Group is looking forward to the remaining activities that we have planned for this summer.

   Carowinds Trip

On June 14, 2005 the Youth Group went to Carowinds for our first summer activity. Everyone had a lot of fun riding all of the rides and hanging out with their friends. There were 14 people that went and everyone had a great time.

 There were a lot of different varieties of rides ranging from Top Gun to the water rides. Most of the people that were there, liked Top Gun (a high speed roller coaster) the best.

 The Frenzoid was another thrill ride. It is a giant looping Viking ship that swings backward and forward, then turns a series of two complete loops, suspending riders upside down 80 feet in the air.
